FoolyCooly: Tripod Collar! How does it mount? It looks like the traditional spot between the zoom and focusing rings is obstructed by switches.

Makes sense now. Thank you.

On National Park Service bans drones in Yosemite article (170 comments in total)

Great! Now if we can only ban old farts with tripods next! Photographers are ruining the peaceful atmosphere of the park with their bags of gear and loud shutter clicks.

hydrospanner: One too many zeroes in the model number to interest me.

Now a D330...

A full sized body would be nice. The d7100 buffer stinks and iq doesn't hold up when pushing exposure.

Is it just me or does this cost 2x more than it should? The 35mm f1.8 DX is just $200...this doesn't look 3x more expensive.

What's the point of flickr anymore? After updating my Website, blog and facebook... who has time for it?

Are you 80 years old? No she is not... check her out in her mom jeans.

What I dislike about Adobe (Photoshop) most is that I have to *Upgrade* Photoshop every time I purchase a new camera.

**Why not let me purchase the ACR updates? Photoshop CS4 and CS5.5 still work for me. I'd pay the extra $20 to ditch DNG converter.

sportyaccordy: I dont understand the wave of disappointment. Canon's sensors have been behind the ball for a while now, but the cameras are still great and worth the money. Plus this is a low end DSLR, shot in JPEG I am assuming. The IQ is not far off from Sony/Nikon. This camera's selling points are its tiny size and touch screen.

Its' Tiny Size is not really that small... especially when you smack that dumpy kit lens on it.

Panasonic G6 VERSUS Blackmagic Pocket Cinema *FIGHT*

Interested in seeing if Panasonic squeezed any more DR out of the 16MP Live MOS.

BlackMagic shoots RAW Video but it is limited to 30fps.

WOW! The 5D MKIII gets slaughtered by the BlackMagic Cinema Camera. I hope the pocket cinema camera is that good!

FoolyCooly: Imaging Resource says the G6 has an External Mic Jack. Does it?

60FPS in Full HD is NICE! I hope it's priced less than a used GH2.

Here's a photo of the right side ports from fourthirds-user dot com.

Looks like the top one is an external mic jack.

Form Fits Function- it looks very functional to me. Love how all the buttons are on top or back. No more tilting the camera to get at some seldom used buttons... like my D7000.

Interested. It's like getting 4 fast primes in one lens- 20mm f1.8, 24mm f1.8, 28mm f1.8 and 35mm f1.8. I doubt it will hold up against fixed fl lenses but maybe it will be good enough and priced just right.

Spunjji: "The lens will offer the light-gathering and depth-of-field equivalent of a constant F2.7 on full-frame"

Aaaaaaaarrrgh who wrote this?! Wrong wrong wrong.

No one really cares about "full frame equivalents". It's just another over-hyped term seen in equipment talk forums and review sites.

On 3 smartphone apps for capturing time lapse video post (20 comments in total)

There is not enough available memory on my iPhone for a project like this. 75% of 16 GB is occupied by games for my kids. :-( Neat apps but I'd have to clean off my phone to use one.

I do however have an old pocket camera that is running CHDK. My Canon SD780IS plus a 32GB card should be enough for few projects like this. I'll have to give it a try some day.

Better yet, Where is the D400?
