Peter62: Buy the X-A1, get the same image quality.

The Sensor is - of course - the same, only the color pattern is different. IQ is almost the same ( i have a x-e1 and x-a1 ).But the X-T1 is still a superb camera.

belcanto: Yes, and not a word about the quality of the magnified view of the viewfinder, smearing in 3x and stuttering in 10x magnification. I would like to have seen the normal EVF-size camparison as well.

me too!

Daniel Lauring: Owned Canon DSLR's since Canon invented the affordable prosumer DSLR market in 2000 with the 3 megapixel D30. Waited and waited for Canon to release an upgrade to my aging 7D. So what does Canon do? Releases a half hearted effort which is a decontented slap in the face as well. Removes the onboard flash. Lowers the flash sync to 180. Sensor technology one step behind Sony/Nikon. Small viewfinder. Joystick gone. Priced too high. In fact, Canon seems to be entering a new era of pricing equipment out of reach of the prosumer. $2200 for 24-70!!!

Sold all my Canon gear and jumped ship to Nikon.

I still have a nostalgic spot in my heart for Canon but they are going to have to do a lot better to bring me back into the fold.

The 7D equivalent would be the cheaper D7000 (which is in the same league as the 60D but can do everything the 7D does), it got the same features, better af and is slightly smaller and got way better iq ;)

Benarm: Silver award is very generous for this heavily handicapped DSLR. Canon got away nicely.

No Full-Frame DSLR from Canon got a built in flash... so that is not an argument (and because of that it has no flash control), the same with the lcd. The image quality is way better than that what the 60D produces, in all iso ranges.

The 6D is not a sport camera - 4.5 fps is good enough for almost everything else. The only thing that really bothers me ist that the camera does not have 11 cross af-points, but it´s still an upgrade from the 5DMK2, for less.

Huh? Expect for the 1/8000... what does the 60D that the 6D doesn´t?
This Camera is in almost all points better than the old 5DII, better AF, better Sensor, better Viewfinder, etc. etc., - so what?!

HarrieD7000: After seeing these pictures I'm glad I don't own the best camera of 2012. My old thing does not need a 30 ft long gangway to create some DOF.

you mean, like, too much dof?

Nice Article, but i would never do that - the pictures look good in small size, but i bet they are very grainy and look artificial in prints larger than 8x13cm.
And - i bet you missed a lot of got shots, especially in bad light situation.

Voted for the ugliest camera ever! (Even uglier the the K-01 and Alpha 99)

The Tamron 70-300 VC is better than the Nikon 70-300 VR, the 17-50 2.8 is a cheap Kit-Killer, maybe this one get´s close to the 70-200 VRII? That would be awesome. Support your local third party lens companies! ;)

M Lammerse: Why not just mention: Reuters showcases multi exposure images - it's already years on the market and integrated into digital camera's.

Are you working for canon or something?!

It´s still a single moment - even if you captured it in different pictures - and the photoshoped pictures look way better than this multi-exposure shots.
You always forget to mention that if you´re shooting in 14fps you have no c-af... so it´s pretty useless when the object moves out of the focus-area.
The D4 can do 11fps - with af - the canon 1dx 12fps with af, both in full resolution. No big advantage at all.
And not to mention that almost nobody has the desire for multi exposure shots.
Best regards :)

//edit: I forgot: The stitching done in the camera is far away from perfect, you see doubled details in the background etc...
