I use canon fix focal length lens. 200mm f2.8 for 3 to 10 meter captures and a 400mm f5.6 for 5 to 30 meter subjects.

Thank you. I usually do not place well with landscapes and portraits but was satisfied with the results.

cmantx: This is a great Osprey shot. The intensity in the eyes, the Talons clinching, and the pose made this one of my favorites.

Much appreciated. Thank you.

RuthC: This is a very dramatic capture, noiseless, and deserves to place in the top ranks of this challenge. The osprey certainly means business, with its sharp beak, even sharper talons and alert eyes to seek out its prey. A fantastic shot, with wonderful colour and texture. One to be proud of. Ruth :-)

Thank you Ruth for your generous comment.

I was very satisfied with the subjects profile, light capture and performance of the recently manufactured Canon 7DII. Thank you for your comment.

This is Exceptional and definitely a first place entry in most related challenges. Capturing the light off the subject reflecting back at the camera and enhancing the foreground detail is incredible. Well Done!
