Dear wingers! The claim "Leica has announced a more affordable rangefinder" was written by the dpreview editor, not Leica (try and find that claim in the press release)but that's beside the point, the point is that it is indeed about $1,500 cheaper than the other camera they announced today, so it is indeed more affordable than that. You all seem to be mistaking the "more affordable" with "I can afford it"

How hard is it to get both phones focusing on the same spot?
As if the issue wasn't already ubiquitous with camera reviews and your test pictures, now you're doing the same mistake on phone comparisons???
that's fair, I get your point. Though I don't mind this post as the controlled studio environment is not a realistic one, I prefer real life examples to examples from professional lighting. But that's just my opinion, each to their own.

ok55: Why can't someone make a compact with decent apertures at the tele end?? F5.8 at the tele end is useless for subject isolation. Isn't a constant f2.8 (or wider) possible??
no no, just Fujifilm X10it's quite similar to this Canon, it has a 28-112mm equivalent F2-F2.8 a very good lenshttp://www.dpreview.com/products/fujifilm/compacts/fujifilm_x10
