Wow, that's a really nice shot.
Yes, I mean around 1/200 at 200mm, or 1/100 at 100mm, etc. Some reported that when the VC is may cause a slight blur when used in these shutter speeds.

I am very interested in this lens too. There were some reports that the VC may cause some image blur when used in with shutter speeds around 1/60 - 1/200 (inverse of the focal length) or so. Can...

Which camera body you were using?

I sent a camera in for sensor cleaning at Canon Shanghai Service Center. When I got it back, I found a deep scratch on the LCD screen. Not sure if they scratched it during service or I had...

Depending on your shooting style, I would use the 16-35/4 and 85/1.4 most often. If you don't take action/widelife, I don't see the need to bring D4 and 70-200/2.8, these are too heavy to lug...

How much for a picture? Standard development of 0.6x 2M Ilford paper is not cheap:-(

My 18-55mm has good center sharpness, but outside central area, it seems a little blurry on all focal length, even when close down to F8. So I am a bit disappointed. The kit lens from Canon seems...

I was puzzled about the continous hunting, so I checked and selected S-AF, but it still keeps AF and hunts every few seconds. So I switch to the 18-55mm lens, then I found it does keep focusing...

Since the 20-50mm lens is highly rated in the forum, I purchased it today. But after testing it on my NX200, I found it behave differently from the kit 18-55mm lens. The 20-50mm lens rotates when...

So far 132 sold. That's the price 6D should be.

Thanks for the info, I guess I shall wait for the next round of sales.Right now I got some adapters to use some old 24/2.5 and 50/1.4. Not up to the NX30/2, but still mighty more fun than the kit...

Too late to see this and the price is back to 399. How much was it? Does it ship to US?

Isn't it a standard X flash Hotshoe on the top? Sony finally ditched the awkward Minolta hotshoe, good move!

What? An F/1.8 lens for $900? I thought that should be an F1.4 territory...
Last time I got my 85/1.8 was around $350. Times changed...

Thanks for the review and comparison. Great job.1) Some reported that the Tamron suffers reduced image resolution when the IS is on and shutter speed is above 1/60 or so. Did you notice it?2)...

I have had this lens for many years. Best bang for the buck. Now even 50/1.4 is costing more than $300. Get it before the version II come and double the price.
-
As a Canon shooter, I am also very interested to know if it works.
There were many posts about other third party lenses on this forum so it is ok.
-
Perhaps you two can take shots at some standard test charts so we compare sample variations on the Tamron:-)There are a few testings of the lens online but none on Nikon...

I like your pictures and composition. For photo techniques, there is no rules, just compose what you feel good. Follow your instinct. Any rules in art are meant to be broken.I am also...

Mine also still says 25 after the fix.Yeah, I was thinking it would have a submenu, but it goes directly to adjust. So I was worried. After the adjustment, it displays a message "OIS default...
