It looks like the range and speed of this lens comes at a price. Optical quality not in the same league as RX100M3.
Thanks for the update! Any comment about image stabilization effectiveness?
orion1983: Why, just WHY is the M3 significantly more noisy (RAW!) than the M2?!!!
Did they really use the sensor of the M1 as some mentioned??!! And uf so...why?!! Because it is cheaper?! Or to make the M3 not as good as possible on purpose...as it will be a top seller anyway and there is now a superior M4 feasible for late 2014 just by taking the sensor of the M2 and spend a hotshoe?!!!
Thanks for the comments, it would be great indeed if we could compare "true" ISO performance regardless of differences in manufacturer-stated ISOs. Looking forward to what's coming.
radissimo: For a second I was thinking about this kit, but why not get Canon G x1 mark II with nice bright zoom lens, bigger sensor and for less?
itsastickup: Seems the dpreview site is suddenly capturing ctrl-click. To power browser users this is exceedingly irritating. Ctrl-click opens a link in a new background tab for later perusal.
Please don't interfere with interface standards, dpreview.
I totally agree with that, it is very annoying.
Since this is basically a 40MP sensor, I don't understand why Canon didn't make it output a 40MP image, instead of combining the information from pairs of photosites and output a 20MP image. Can someone explain me?
Where is the Dynamic Range section?
When will the PowerShot S100 be supported? Thanks!
