Most of my photography these days is also travel related like yourself. Over the years I've progressed from D80 to D90, D7000 and now D7100 with primarilly the 18-200 fitted. I bought the 18-300...

I find it really frustrating having just bought the D7100, to now find that the genuine MB-D15 is not going to be available (in Australia) for 2-3 weeks.
I've seen both the Meike at around $50) and...

I don't think it is anything to worry about with the X100/X100s Rob. I've frequented this forum ever since the camera was first announced and neber seen a post about dust in an X100. I've had mine...

It doesn't matter what sort of card - black, white or grey. If the card is all one colour/shade it will produce a mid grey with the histogram in the middle - that's what the camera meter is...

You are soooooo weak! :-)
(I have the same disease)

Wonderful shot Bryan - you've helped me decide which lens to take on my holiday.....

Darn - you missed the classic Ontario Orange LT-1 Corvette (to the right of the white Masaratti) :-)

That Perana Z-one looks great - thankyou.
The green Viper looks great as well :-P

Welcome to the forum Maurico. In response to your question about shooting indoors, i would have to agree that a flash unit will improve your indoor images.
Unfortunately I'm not familiar with the...

Nice shots - thanks for posting.
What make is the 5th one? (blue car in front of the red porshe)

I agree ZorSy, at those prices it's not worth buying 'grey' imports.
I quoted Georges $1499, Vanbar $1549, Ryda $1588, Camera Pro $1559, Cameras Direct $1447 and Camerastore.com $1558 and my local...

That's great to hear - thanks.

A quick test this morning before heading off to work gave good results with AF-S and centre focus spot. I'll check the others tonight :-)

It was more out of curiousity that I checked for dust since the last three cameras I bought, (2) D7000 and a D800E, all had a few spots straight out of the box

Thanks Rudy - I'm looking forward to some surfing photography in Bali in the near future. I would have liked to have bought the new 80-400 AFS also but the prices here are ridiculous at over...

That's close to what I paid to have them re-mapped. I spent about $350 to have two D80's and two D90's fixed by an authorised Nikon service agent.
Thankfully no problems with my D700's, D7000's,...

These things are hard to find in Australia. Unlike the USA they have a RRP of just under $1700 but I managed to pick one up from my favorite retailer for $1450. Unfortunately the MB-D15 battery...

Thanks Rudy. I'll have to get more involved in the challenges - this has certainly boosted my enthusiasm. I'd better clean my sensors in readiness for my next trip. :-)
-
My goodness - I hadn't noticed that you can see the actual score numbers. I've only recently started to get into the challenges. Interestingly, on this challenge (and a few other recent ones),...
