In a sea of mediocrity, this is a compelling image! Thanks for sharing.

Melissa & ProPhoto are kissing cousins so no practical difference there.
I routinely move files out of SPP pretty much unmolested (except for RAW conversion) as 16 bit tiff and import into LR 4.4...

Exploring the 3M's different focal length as compared to my 2M.
Different perspective, same detail magic ...
I continue to be amazed & my FF gear continues to gather dust.

I really like the image, but then I'm a bit biased ...

Thanks, all... the sky was very Van Gough. This is a very severe crop of the frame, but still has a nice feel to it.

Gentle in-ward pressure across thw whole surface of the ring and it will turn easily. Same for stuck filters.

From DPR's review of the 850:
"Visually the Sony A850 and A900 are virtually identical. On the outside there is, apart from the type label and a slightly matter black finish on the A850, no...

I generally use an opposite technique. AF w/ half-press then lock w/ AF toggle.
The "speed sensitive" aspect of MF is a joke, IMO. It flies in the face of precise MF. Bottom line is that MF...

"How does X100 manual focus work?"
In two words... "It doesn't." Unless you think that 900 turns "lock to lock" can be called focusing.

I have for sale a "just purchased" Sony a900 from "new stock" from the Houston Sony Store (shutter count less than 100 clicks). I bought it as a second body (I have an a900 already). I also have...

I honestly don't mean to sound rude, but I thought this was a "pro" forum? What we're talking about here is "digital" asset management. Making prints and puttting them in albums with...

Mark,
Yes, even though LR works in ProPhotoRGB, you may export in aRGB, sRGB, tiff, ProPhotoRGB. It doesn't do CMYK, so off to Photoshop for export if you're going to press.
The image is no great...

Tom,
Yes, set to aRGB, but not really relevant since I shoot RAW & process in LR4.4, which as you know works in ProPhotoRGB. I just leave the camera on aRGB as more habit than anything.
Thanks...
