Nikon 1 does not answer the prosumer dc market. Canon S100 & Ricoh GRD have much more compact answers with better ergonomics & equivalent if not surpassing IQ. And they have far BETTER prices.
Nikon 1 does not answer the enthusiast EVIL market. The 2.7x crop factor means Nikon cut this off right from the beginning. All the handy dials & controls are missing on the camera. This is like offering a 2.7x crop factor NEX-3 at 2012 at a 1.5x more expensive price tag !!
This system tries to provide a hurried & faltered answer to the grumbling shareholders who see the market share increasingly sliced away by Sony & the other M4/3 competitors. But with this small / wrong market segmentation, wonder what that answer could be.
Shame with the short-sighted brains who decide the present direction for this otherwise very interesting & promising new system !
h00ligan: Hmmm, I must be the only one who is disappointed a bit.
You are not alone. The present samples show the camera/lens combo performs much less than its price tag !
clarence hk: pretty disappointed with the IQ especially when the Nex7 + ZA Lens price is taken into consideration.
i would shift to X1 or GXR M-mount then.

Think you must be blind to OOC jpegs or you are Sony's promoter. Who & why ever mention that "pop" or "3D" factor to cover up the NEX7 & ZA combo inadequacy ? If "neutral" is the criteria to judge a lens / camera body, why on earth do we need better prime lens & new camera developments to attain the ever better IQ ???
