I ended up with the RX100, but, if I could have bought an LX7 in Oz for around $300, I would have.
My comments..
1. The corner softness is there, but, its marginal. The image below is a crop that is...

I have a D700, which i love, however, I had a Nikon V1 for two weeks, and, for any reasonable light (I mean good indoor ), it was blindingly fast, and, also, the IS on the lenses was also very...

No need to further re4sponses, should never have posted it in the first place..

In truth, I was joking. That building has a great slope on it, as the nutters who designed Federation Square intended.
I should not have made the post, so if I offended anyone, I...

Hi, I was shooting the horse drawn carriage rides at Melbourne's Federation Square, after a boozy lunch in Lygon St. (Little Italy). When I got home, I noticed a weird distortion issue with the...

I haven't used it, but, based upon all the rviews, I think the Fuji X100s is the next of the fixed lens, large sensor cameras at a reasonable price. The Sony RX1 may be better, however, its more...

There are many ways in which I'd expect the X20 to be "nicer" to use than the S100, and, a year ago when comparing the S100, Olympus XZ1 and X10, I found the X10 to have better optics and better...

Yes, I saw the cyrillic after I had posted. There is something very unique about the dirty, melting snow. Thanks for the shots!.

Like everyone else on this thread, I am paranoid about noise in a new camera. That's why I am stuck with my D700..
But, we are a bit weird, I can remember shooting with 200iso agfa opima II,...

I don't have a D7100, but, I always felt impressed by my 18-200mmVRI on my D200. However, I am using a 28-300mmVR on my D700, and, its pretty amazing.

Hi..
Like many, I am wondering about getting a D7100 to replace, in my case, my D700. The HI iso issue bothers me as well.
However, the much maligned Ken Rockwell (and I am a fan of his), has made...

Sue,
If you move the window around to the top edge of the watch, on its LH side, where one gets some of the hair or feathers in the crop, you will see what each camera does to the poorly lit parts...

If I manage to sell the D200, I'll possibly look at the TZ30.
