There are only a couple of options I would like to see.
1) The option to let the OP remove a thread started by the OP
2) The option by the OP to lock a thread so no further posts can be made
Far too often I've seen threads where the topic goes way off in left field having nothing to do with the OP's original post.
The above options I've mentioned I do hope you heavily consider their importance.
Great job!
Baseman: My cell phone still beats this thing for pixels per inch. This has only 264ppi, my cell has 329ppi! Beat that Apple!
I know I've been slashing away at Apple here. But as far as 'enough is enough', that only seems to be true with camera sensor pixel density. The screen on my cell is super sharp! Granted it's not as big for aspect ratio, but the physical size is smaller and it's native resolution is 1280x720 in a 4.5" space. Wanna talk about crisp and sharp images and video!! With less ppi on the cell, the screen would have to be much larger to get the same 1280x720 resolution. Makes it hard to fit in the pocket ;-) BTW, in case you were wondering, I have the LG Optimus 4G LTE. That's the Canadian version. In the US it's called the LG Nitro. All I'm saying is with larger pixels and/or more space between them, the image suffers. Simply put, my phone does a much better job!

You forgot to add the ability to let us sign in and participate. It's one thing to view the site, it's another to submit feedback. Digital Preview people, I know you recognize the need for the mobile site due to everyone being so mobile. Sure is a big oversight to also overlook everyone's ability to input while mobile as well ;-)

Only reason Apple is doing so good is cause of it's marketing and ability to make you the consumer 'think' it's better than everything else. Funny there's still no memory card slot. Hmmmm.....better than the rest, I think not! It's only Apple's followers who will fight tooth and nail to proclaim it's the best. Still waiting for that memory card expansion. Oh wait, you'll never see it cause Apple can make you pay a lot more to get only a little. I like the ability to swap memory cards. Fill one, switch it for another. Need to transfer data across any platform, no problem with a memory card. But ooops, sorry Apple people, I'm talking another language to you. Just remember, Apple only wants your money by making you think you can't live without their product. Time to WAKE UP PEOPLE!!!!!!
wkay: 720mm seems silly as I doubt IS will be very effective.. otherwise looks interesting. Need to focus on being a camera rather than bells and whistles (electronic level gauge? How did photography survive for 150 years without it?).
Actually, the zoom range isn't 24mm - 720mm. Over in the FTF some months ago, it was discovered the zoom range is really 22mm - 660mm on the HS20!! I see the same lens and sensor size in this HS30, so I can't see what I just stated changing any for the HS30.
Baseman: Still a 1/2" sensor. I don't expect the big improvement they claim. But time will tell......
Yup! 8MP for me on the HS20 but not in EXR mode. I use A mode with DR400, Sharpness set to Soft and NR set on Low. Then I PP everything in CS5. Kind of a pain in the butt but it's the only way to get a decent image out of the HS20

The only way they can maintain the 30x lens zoom is to keep the 1/2" sensor. Go bigger on the sensor and they'll loose zoom range with that same lens. I still say & I know others will agree, 16MP on a 1/2" sensor is counter productive!

This isn't even a barn!
Perverts!
Somehow most of you who entered failed to understand the guidelines of this competition. Most of these images are portrait's, model type shots which is exactly what was not supposed to be entered. They were supposed to be story telling photos. The story most of these photos tell me is your wives like posing for pictures, nothing else. I'm glad the winner at lease told a story his wife likes to be playful and get muddy :) But as for the rest of you, pay attention next time!
Nice picture. But I don't think my wife would give me permission to put a pic up like that...top hanging open
