I don't think they're purposely slighting the X-Pro1. I think they're releasing the X-E1s first to avoid the impression that I think happened when the X-E1 was released. I think some X-Pro 1 users...

I think that's why they released the cheaper zooms to go along with the camera. However, you do have a good point.

I know this is off topic but is it just me or does the 23mm f1.4 looks smaller in this roadmap. When I saw mock up pictures of it during Photokina 2012, it looked a lot larger than this.
-
As much as I would like this (it'd be awesome), it would also be very large and heavy.
-
I understand your pain. I had this happen to me a couple of times. Try increasing the size the AF box, it might help a little bit.

I haven't seen too many rumors about the X-E2 but the newest firmware updates make me believe that it might come next year. No, though if you're U.S. based, it would have been better if you bought...

Oh also, if the AF refuses to lock sometimes, try increasing the size of the AF box. Just press and hold the AF button and spin the command dial to the left (I think) to increase the size of the AF...

In general, the focus speed isn't too bad on the X-E1 especially in good light. Usually, in comparison to my Nex 5N, the main problem is in how to quickly charge focus points. In order to change...

That would be nice, though a FF version might be a bit larger

I would wait until after the announcement of the 55-200 tomorrow. According to some of the rumor sites, Fuji might update their lens roadmap. Hopefully, there is a another telephoto prime on the...

No, though that particular FL is a bit lower on my list of needs. I'm leaning towards picking up the 23mm or 55-200 first. I think the 27mm will make a nice lightweight option though.
-
No, I think it's just a plain mounted optical viewfinder that has brightlines to indicate around 90% scene coverage.
-
Based on specs alone, the X100s with the faster lens and hybrid OVF/EVF is better in general though I believe the Nikon is more compact. I think the more interesting fact is that this might be a...
-
I think it's just there if you want a super compact and light option like the m4/3 shooters who like using the Panasonic 14mm f2.5 or 20mm f1.7 pancake lenses on their cameras.

I wish it was going to be just $499. It's just that the cheapest XF lens is $599. I think they'll probably price it at the same price as the 18-55 at $699. I think they might offer it at $499 if...
-
Impressive, I can't wait until they put the AF improvements into the X-Pro1 and X-E1 successors. It's actually a main complaint of mine in my Fuji X-E1 besides that it's harder to change AF points...
-
The Nikon 105mm VR has one of the faster Nikon AF-S motor in it compared to the slow motors that's in the original 3 prime lenses of Fuji. You might be able to squeeze more AF speed out of the lens...

Lenses hold their value much better than camera bodies. If you buy it for this the price you mentioned, it reduces the chance that you will sell it at a loss. However, it's very hard to determine...

I think he's probably talking about a type of buyers remorse not exactly about feeling guilty.

I'm oddly sensing some type of non-disclosure agreement.
