Commented on DxO Optics Pro 7.5 moves to 64-bit and gains D800 support and discount offer news story
Lightroom itself is not the Adobe raw opener; that’s Adobe Camera Raw, which can be part of the full version of Photoshop (CS5 or the very new CS6) or the lightweight version of Photoshop...

Boerseuntjie: Hands free calling does not include texting, you've proven my point about the cliches of BMW drivers. In my experience Samsung NX optics do in fact easily best high end Nikon lenses...

thejohnnerparty: Do you mean that you haven't heard of Capture NX 2? It's the raw opener that Nikon will sell you. Is that what you mean by "support"? It's considered pretty good software. DXO is...

Boerseuntjie: Except for breakdowns and the oil checking problem, sure BMWs are more fun to drive than a Hyundai--never disputed that. I've already complemented Zeiss and Leica lenses (this is...

Commented on DxO Optics Pro 7.5 moves to 64-bit and gains D800 support and discount offer news story
Boerseuntjie: You've confused a DXO sensor score for a Samsung sensor with DXO raw extraction software for Samsung--the latter doesn't exist. Also you seem to have forgotten about lenses, which...

tkbslc: Is the Leica M9 obscure? Or just expensive yet very well known? Does "obscure" now mean not the product of a Japanese company?

By "kindly answering" do you mean ignoring all sorts of cameras which shoot raw--like the Leica M9 or the Samsung NX100?

CFynn: On the D4 wouldn't that mean one would use the contrast detect system in live view? To me that's a combined system. There's still no evidence that this Pentax has a contrast AF system for...

Commented on Pentax K-30 16MP weather-sealed mid-level DSLR previewed news story
qwertyasdf: It's very unlikely that Pentax put a contrast auto-focus system in this DSLR, and that's the only way it could have the same live view as the K-01. (I believe perhaps maybe the Nikon...
