In menu You can choose AF speed, FAST for stills and ACCURATE for video. And don't forget, Sony has fast AF not only in video, but in LiveView too.

I have both A77 and A99. A99 in AF-D is faster and more accurate. Besides this A99 has AF-Range, which helps to reduce time needed for focusing.

limited lens selection? 16 lenses from Sony+Zeiss Touit+Sigma+compatibility with Canon/Nikon/m42 using adapters.... Crappy EOS-M has limited lens selection, Nikon 1 and Fuji X have limited lens...

Juck - I'm not m4/3 shooter and I don't have any reasons to make Canon look worse than 4/3 or any other system. I have rich experience in shooting different cameras, that's why I say what I say ))

Pana 12-35/2.8 collects more light. Don't mix up quantity of light light with DoF.
