With Mt. McLoughlin in the background and a layering of clouds below me I found the trees at this elevation to be heavily laiden with snow. I felt the tree on the left side with its broken top added a level of tension and history.

Very nice eye caught in this image...soft light, beautiful/handsome horse in a stall. Background is a bit busy but to be expected in images of captive horses.

A nice approach to this subject. A shot a little closer from a little lower point of view could be helpful as well as a head turned so the warm sunlight light could glisten in his/her eye.

Nice processing...the fence is unfortunate but the horse is very nicely set in the image framing and stands out well agains a busy foreground and background.

Very nice look and comp for a captive horse...Liberty seems an odd name for a horse in bit & bridle..but nice image!

If domestic horses images happen to be what they are looking for to win this contest, I happen to think this is, perhaps, one of the best entries...plenty of room around the animal and the horse is definitely the main subject with no meaningful distractions. The horse is alert and attentive to someting away from the photographer and the image was taken during difused lighting conditions...perhaps the only detraction.

It never dawned on me that one might vote for their own image and I don't see this issue being addressed in the posted rules...clarification, please?

A great shot for what it is intended to be...man's control and dominance of this magnificent animal. And if the subject were to be horse and rider, this image would be among the better of the images posted.

Powerful shot of working horse with all attachments/encumberments of man and relationship to man.

Very nice action shot, but the interest is seperated between the rider with the whip and the jumping horse.

Tha's a LOT of horse! Trainer and setting may be somewhat confusing and drawing away from the imact of this magnificent animal.

Beautiful horse and woman, but I think the woman is upstaging the horse.
