I saw some somewhere, from a pre-production camera obviously. They looked similar to the what the D7000 does. Not much to go on yet.

Forgot to add: Use continous autofocus. I like to use one center focus point. Turn the VR off.

My two cents: Don't use the sports setting. That might work outside but not inside. What I do is shoot in A mode, wide open, with as high an ISO as I'm comfortable with. Don't be afraid to go...

Only had six hours here but I really liked what I saw. I would love to go back! All with a D7000 and an 18-105 kit lens.

This was at a critical time in the game. She was out but her team won anyway, on their way to a state championship.

I've shot a good bit of football over the years. What I like to do for bright day light games (esp late or early) is to set up either either 15-20 yards ahead of the line or 5-10 yards behind it. ...

Try to set up where the action you are shooting isn't back lit. I know that's not always possible but if it is take advatage of it. You don't have to be directly up sun but anything is better...

It's a pretty good lens. I've been happy with mine and I came from Olympus. Whatever you think of their bodies Oly has some NICE glass at decent prices. I have their 14-54 and 50-200, two fast,...

I use it when shooting sports at unevely lit venues. That covers most of the places I shoot sports at night. I use A mode wide open and a minimum shutter of 1/500. That helps keep the iso as low...

Personally I like wide open stuff. You won't get as many keepers, but I like the background blurred out if possible. In good light you will still get a pretty good ratio.

I've been shooting HS football at night with mine with a slow lens. It's been doing very well, focus wise. My problems are related to the glass I'm shooting with for now. If it improves with good...

I'll give that a look. Thanks!

I don't process any of the photos that I post overnight. They go up straight from the card. If anyone orders any then I process. I sell a few and a few go in the local weekly paper but I'm doing...

Thanks. Those were all made with the 18-105 kit lens: A mode, ISO 100, -.33 EV, all but the church were F 7.1. That one was f 5.6.

Thanks. Our group said exactly the same thing about the peasents. Photos don't really capture just how over the top the oramentation is either.

That's one I'm looking at, along with the Nikkor 80-200 2.8. Wasn't in the budget this year. Will be next year. I do know I need it. Starting over with Nikon, very happy so far.

Class A and AA football in rual Mississippi is not well lit, in the center of the field or anywhere else. It wouldn't have mattered if I had not used auto ISO I still would have been shooting at...

One more: I posted some of the brightest shots here and some of those were brightened in processing. Most were darker, quite a bit darker. We are talking small schools with limited lighting.
