Obviously D600 owners are screwed. If Nikon didn't bother to do a recall for a common known issue, don't expect them to do anything for those users once an "improved" model comes out.

That's cool, now engineer a miniature full frame sensor, miniature DSLR body with all the bits, now gnomes can take up photography too!

So true, I've done paid gigs using cameras from the Canon 6D to the "budget" Pentax K-r. As long as the camera shoots RAW, it will usually be more of your post processing skills which will come to...

Anyone know why is it that while I set the white balance on the 6D to 5600k +/-0 tint, Adobe Bridge shows white balance as shot as 5550k +8 tint?
-
Is that so? Then how come Canon allows to shoot 1080p30 video at 1/30 speed?
-
exactly, the 6D too is able to set shutter speed to 1/30 while shooting at 1080p30 which was exact;y why I wondered why I couldn't set shutter to 1/24 ( i believe some panasonics are able to set to...

Perhaps you're coming from a different place for movie shooting. That blurry effect you mention is exactly why I would like to have slow shutter speed. It gives more natural and cinema-like motion...
-
I believe that double shutter speed for frame rate rule is a common misconception tho... you can find some articles by reputable shooters. google.

So the 6D can do 108024p video, but in manual video mode with 24p option selected I can't seem to bring the shutter speed down to 1/24s, itt only goes down to 1/30s. Is there another setting which...

I've always wondered how much memory would be needed on say, a 2-hour shoot... how practical is it really vs recording to an SSD thru HDMI out?

Just curious, how does this info affect you as a photographer? Canon (or any brand for that matter) more than adequately provides enough products and tools for all but the most specialized...

Everyone's a photographer nowadays. Unfortunately... another example of how pro gear != pro shots. if it wasn't stated by the OP, I'd have thought they were from a compact/P&S.
Nothing against the...

On tech specs it does say so it seems. But in practical use on a subject lit to about 10-15 lux, I personally do not see any significant focusing improvement using an f/2.8 over an f/5.6 lens.

I don't get why you guys are so negative towards his post? Yes, we all know he is a marketing tool by Panasonic and some of his posts here are skewed. But unboxing video shows the contents of the...
-
Realistically, your suggestion is even more absurd. What are the odds of that happening with the lens and 5D that would cancel out to perfect focus correct?
I sometimes wonder if those who say they...

I see some stores which show the above kit as "Discontinued".
Just wondering if discontinued status is decided by manufacturer or do stored who decide to stop carrying the item also label them as...
-
Is it possible to have the camera lock focus AND exposure on half press of the shutter?
By logic I would think anyone who would want to lock focus on a subject would also want exposure to that...

Looks like error caused by the data read out from the sensor or buffer error while reading the fed data. Corrupted memory card images don't usually look like that, at least the ones that I've...

Are you sure you love photography? Sounds like you're more in love with tech specs...
If there were a particular camera which is superior in every way, the other manufacturer wouldn't be selling...
