Some same the same but I think may be not. If I am pushing exposure with ISO 1600 jpeg it may well be the same as ISO 3200 jpeg but starting from RAW maybe...

Hi Ned-B
I don't know how you did it but the color is just nicer than other GR pics I have seen. Ak=ll standard color in ACR?
-
Hi, Ned-B
Is it possible to show some out of camera jpeg, is the color as nice?
Thanks
-
Thanks it is always better to use dedicated NR software on high ISO jpeg rather than in camera
-
Thanks Ray
corner to corner sharpness is always welcome but to me color is the most important in photography. So whether Ricoh has "correct" color is still the biggest concern to me

Hi, primozp
Have you used TG-2. I found daylight IQ very good with lots of detail. It is at low light that the missed focus problem drive me nuts. It show the green focus box but the pic come...

Hi, Ray
one question, can you turn off NR for both Coolpix A and Ricoh GR?
-
Hi, Ray
What you said "The Ricoh colors don't have anything like the red issues that they had without the ACR profile, but the blues and greens still seem off to me. On some shots I can get them...

ISO 6400 is perfectly usable to me.
The chinese is translate as "high ISO NR:on"
even ISO 25600 is not bad, amazing
-
my thinking is if one is buying mainly the lens, LX7 is currently the best bet
But should wait for the new XF1 for Panasonic, would the lens be as good?
-
I would say definitely not Canon S110
People buying these type of camera are mostly buying the lens as the sensor is not much better than 1/2.3 type (to me just marketing probably the same)
So...

Is it just me? To me all color not just red look undersaturated to me
-
I don't have camera
but base on samples from ephotozine review, standard color setting is undersaturated and contrast too low
Vivid may be oversaturated
I think maybe from standard color increase...

I am leaning towards the GR too because of better lens and although I can also afford Coolpix A, I want to reward good company that charge a fair price.
Ricoh is a company I respect, $800 at launch...
