Not too bad for a (almost) low-light situation but I don't understand why the shutter speed is 1/500 in this situation.
I'm overall disappointed by these samples and the choices of the photographers, especially for the setting when shooting.
Yeah, this photo sucks pretty much but it's obviously not because of the camera but because of the choice of the photographer and I'm pretty sure that it was taken from the hand which is not the best for 1/60 sec especially for trees because of the wind and shaking.
This is outstanding performance even for much lower ISOs. And for 12,800 is really very very good, much better than most of other samples I've seen.
I don't know the huge difference in performance between the samples tho.
If you'd shoot with a phone in this conditions your photo would either be black or completely blurry. (not to mention the noise)
This doesn't look so bad if you ask me. It's quite sharp so with some anti-noise 'dose' you would be able to get a very decent photo for such a high ISO like 12,800.
Very good IQ for a ISO8,000 and f3.5.
For ISO1,600 the noise is great but the overall photo became too soft like somebody added a huge anti-noise dose to the photo.
grainy concrete surface?
The photo is strongly noisy. You can check every detail like the face of the blond girl or anything else and you will notice a huge amount of noise like it's shot with ISO3,200 or more.
I won't say it's terrible but it's quite bad and disappointing.
I guess/hope that a mistake has been done when writing ISO100.
