Your input is greatly appreciated!
Focused at the very center line.
This is as perfect as I can align my camera with the test chart.
But as you read the numbers on both sides starting from zero,
it's clear almost up to #6 going up...
I have to admit, loved the suggestions everyone is sharing with me on this site.
I have been working on this test chart for 2 days, but have to admit, I am no "techsavy".
I have to admit, I am in no way an expert on this issue.
I have bought a camera that is way too advance than my skills.
I have so many flaw, & that's why I am trying to do as much...
I cannot retake the ones at Brown University.
I can however take the chart with my 50mm.
I am not a PRO.
Most of you guys probably know by now that yes, it could be the user that is the problem.
That's why I am trying to troubleshoot.
I have to admit that Yes, I...
I cannot retake the shot taken from Brown University, it's quite a distance.
I will however use the 50mm on Jeffrey’s Autofocus Test Chart.
I followed the instructions as per below:
A Low Angle of Attack
and this is my result.
Back focus even when I adjusted the fine tuning.
So, I got the first response from the Nikon Technical guy.
Mind you, all my gears are registered.
This is his response:

Hello Ms Dorn, Thank you for...
I am not resistant of sending my sample images.
I already sent Nikon a lot of photos.
I have not receive any answer from Nikon.
That's why, in the meantime, maybe I can borrow...
But Nikon won't take it from me unless I follow their troubleshooting steps.
I called them & told them to please take a look at my camera & lens, still the answer is NO unless I do what they ask me...
I tried "Googling" live view shot to compare.
What exactly you meant by this?
Thanks anotherMike :-)
I was just downloading a test chart:
will definitely try it tomorrow.
You are right, it's late & I thank you for sharing...
Tried Fine Tuning the camera with the lens by following what I just watched on youtube.
My cat face looks clearer on the left if you are...
I just went on youtube.
I will definitely give this one a try.
I am very jealous!
I am glad that yours is working mighty fine :-)
I fine tune using the D7000 utility.
Not sure what you really meant here.
I am not a PRO, but the only fine tune I can do is within the Camera itself.
I followed the Nikon's instructions & other web blogs regarding on how to's to fine...
Thanks Dave, that is really encouraging.
I wanted to send mine for repair, but I have to follow Nikon's steps before I can even send them.
My NIKKOR 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR II is far more superior than my NIKKOR 24-70mm f/2.8G.
Would you guys agree that something is wrong with my NIKKOR 24-70mm f/2.8G lens?
