balico's current gear

Nikon D300
Nikon D810
Nikon AF Nikkor 105mm f/2D DC
Good DX camera although catched up by recent technology
An almost perfect camera for me, great resolution, colors and dynamic range. To be completely perfect though, I would prefer it to have a 3 to 4 stop improved high ISO performance as I regularly shoot night (dance) performances with very low light.
Although an oldy, this lens never disappoints in image quality. A bit loud during focusing as it has no internal focus motor and VR would be nice..
Nikon AF Nikkor 50mm f/1.8D
Nikon AF Nikkor 85mm f/1.8D
Nikon AF-S DX Nikkor 16-85mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR
Dirt cheap and good quality images.
Very good on both the D300 and D810, even wide open..
Good all round DX zoom
Nikon AF-S Nikkor 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6G VR
Sigma 35mm F1.4 DG HSM
Sigma 8mm F3.5 EX DG Circular Fisheye
Good lens when there is enough available light as the lens is slow with it's f/4.5-5.6 aperture. With sufficient shutter speed delivers decent photo's at 300mm. At shorter focal length it give good results..
Standard fast prime on my D810. Not as sharp wide open at f/1.4 as I expected from the raving reviews. My sample had quiet some front focussing when it arrived, adjusted with the dock went well and it is now my favorite lens.
Mainly used for shooting 360 degree spherical panoramas. Good sharpness at f/5.6, better at f/8. Some moderate CA at the image borders.
Tokina AT-X Pro 11-16mm f/2.8 DX
Samsung Galaxy S5
I would call my relation with this lens love/hate.. Tack sharp, but as I have the first version of this lens, it sometimes exhibits horrible flare with strong light sources anywhere in the frame. Also has quiet strong CA.
