EXX: This challenge was really nice, you learn a lot more compared to the "normal" challenges from the giving and receiving of all the comments. I will try to enter more of these "chat" challenges.
I agree wholeheardedly with you EXX! I'm on holiday at the moment and find myself dashing outside in the different light / times of day to "mess" around and try some of the things everyone else has shown!
Wow, this looks super now!! I really like the vividness of the colours!
EXX: You're welcome. :-)
This crop looks indeed better. BTW, I think you were supposed to leave the original picture also in the challenge.
Thanks EXX :-) I only realised afterward!! I've just been outside in the garden applying some of what I learnt from the feedback / the other entries and I am SO CHUFFED!!! There is a huge improvement and I understand much more about what I'm trying to do, rather than the decent photo's being more luck than judgement (which has been the case 'til now).
I like this! Well done!
I really love this version! Truly inspiring!!
AndrePooh: ***THIS CHALLENGE IS CLOSED FOR NEW ENTRIES*****
see comment below.
I sent a personal message this morning but the context is for everyone: I see that with uploading the second version, you have withdrawn the first one. The problem is that withdrawing also deletes all the comments. That is not very considerate to those who took the time to make those comments. Therefore we allow more entries so that withdrawing is unnecesary. So for the next time, please let it stand.
Thank, best wishes for 2012 to all
Andre
Sorry everyone!!! I wasn't sure and should have checked first :-( I really do appreciate your time and trouble.
Perhaps some more lighting on the centre? I agree with the previous comments.
Interesting to compare to the same subject matter earlier ... I quite like it though it's less clear what it is without the title, but has a nice "flowy" feel to the colours and curves.
I like the composition and "space" on the rhs of the frame.
Great colour contrast and detail. The only detractor in my opnion is the out of focus bee on the rhs.
Great shot in difficult lighting conditions. I really like the compositon and contrast of the leading lines as well as the "space" the snail is moving into.
I agree with the comments below. I really like this shot and having spent goodness knows how long trying to get some decent shots of a bee on a flower I truly appreciate what a challenge getting such a greta shot is, especially with all colour and lighting so well done.
I like to idea, colours and pattern.
Lovely colours and excellent lighting .... any good going in a little closer?
I agree with the comments below re space in front (to the left) and legs being cut off. I really like the highlights on the web and body ... would it perhaps work at a lower exposure / more silhoutted perhaps?
Perhaps you could crop closer? The lighting is difficult because of the sun and shade .....
Stunning! I love the colour contrast and perfection of the flower ...... as well as the off-centre centre ......
I like the soft "shades of white" with the soft green ........ peaceful for the right atmosphere .....
Definitely a different "view of the world" for a macro challenge ...... I do like the colour contracts but perhaps tighter?
I agree with the comments below ... nice colour contrast and lighting.
