gunkan: Nice photos and great detail. This camera is going to be a RX100 Mark II killer because of the price. 499€ G7X vs 679€ RX100 III. And i think it's going even lower.
The 24mm equivalent looks with bigger distorsion than RX100 III at 24mm. But everything is a trade off for the 100mm 2.8 and the lower price.
Those photos are good enought for me.
I assume by many of these posts that many of you don't shoot RAW and don't post process much? As a RX100 II owner, I must say that shooting RAW and using Lightroom is a must with the 1" sensor... Colors, highlights, noise, etc.... I have to do a lot of work, but I get excellent results similar to the dSLRs I've had in the past. If I were to be just a JPG shooter.... Well, I'd probably get a Fuji xtrans : )
am I reading this right in that he applied NO luminance NR to the 25K ISO sample for Light room? that's his custom setting?
mosum: Intervalometer? AF micro adjustment?
Is it worth more than double the D7000? I'm not sure. $1500-$1600 would have made it a much easier decision. I'm not saying it's overpriced at $2099, ... I was just hoping it was priced to the point where it would be easy to justify over the D7000 for a hobbyist... oh well ...
