Thanks. I was doing a lot of night photography with an Olypus E-510 and an E-30 (they said it couldn't be done), but have found the OM-D E-M5 to be really great at it. The electronic viewfinder...

Glad you asked, as the vast majority of my shooting is in low light situations, such as city streets at night and inside of very dimly lit dive bars. You won't find many harder to shoot scenes...

No. And I love my OM-D. The range of settings can be intimidating to a seasoned photographer. While I firmly believe it's best to start off photography with a camera capable of fully manual...

Pretty much my thoughts. A slight increase in size, maybe to include more of a built-in handgrip and perhaps better overall ergos (at the expense of "classic" style) would still hold a market, but...

Soooo hard to choose a favorite, but this is one which always makes me feel good when I see it (also, it sold on the first day of my latest show):
"Caught!" Olympus OM-D E-M5: 25mm, f/1.4, 1/60...

Same here, and I carry it around with me daily, so it gets plenty of low level impacts (in addition to the unintended drop tests Bob is referring to) which I'm not aware of.

Yes, but never, ever, try doing so with bacon wrapped around your lens!

How important is one full f/stop to you? When I'm shooting indoors or at night, it means a whole heck of alot to me. Then again, I prefer not going faster than ISO 3200, as the noise bothers...

Given that I just sold off all my old, yet wonderful, 4/3 lenses, an m4/3 camera which could properly use them is now a sure thing, if the rest of my life is any indicator.

Considering how successful open-source approaches have been with computers (LINUX), smartphones (ANDROID), and peripherals (BLUETOOTH), one can’t but think that this move by Samsung has been long...

Not easy to do when you're "Airless."

Why can't somebody in a position of authority at Yahoo realize that, yes, the number of people who are serious about their photography isn't a high growth sector, and the real growth is in people...

Bye-bye Flickr. It used to be a vehicle for serious photographers to share their images with one another. Apparently Flickr is going after the cameraphone crowd with its new look and layout. ...

Trapper John's experience with his OM-D has been a lot like mine, a bit more positive than the original post.
Like so many of you, I too had to make do with just one battery for a couple of months...

Part of your "problem" is that Olympus does quite a bit of image manipulation in its JPEG processing. This is why many people like the blues found in Olympus photos. RAW is raw, as in...

While not a realtor, I have both lenses. Both have relatively good optics, given the inherent limitations when shooting at seriously wide angles. Personally, my best guess is that the 7-14 might...

Don't get me wrong, this is a very nice lens, but it's way overpriced. I bought it to be a good "walk around" lens which I could would work in a variety of situations, and as a rule, keep it on my...

Thanks, it makes a lot of sense. I didn't realize that the Epson did that.

I'm sorry about the confusion from my post. I do the interpolation in Photoshop and output to the 3880 at 1200PPI, as Adobe's software does a much better job when upsampling than Epson's. Then...
