Obviously EM-5 can't compete in term of features and picture quality to those two FF Canon and Nikon DSLRs, but EM-5 is the most significant consumer digital camera that changes the way a lot of...

I normally use P mode on my OM-D. I will change to A mode when I want to adjust the DOF. I don't use A mode to adjust the amount of light because 99% of the time I want as much light as possible,...

I'm a pixel peeper here and currently I only have this 12-50mm kit lens and the Oly 45mm f/1.8 lens. Yes the 45mm lens is sharper and has better bokeh, but it's mainly my portrait lens. The 12-50mm...

Same here. Using the supplied Olympus neck strap. It is decent and does the job well. It does not have padding but OM-D is light so not a problem.

I live in Australia, anyone know if you can also obtain a pinterd maual from Olympus?Might have to call Olympus Australia later this week to find out...

Weird, that eBay US seller link you posted also sell packs of 1 charger + 2 batteries and 1 charger + 3 batteries. I just did some calculation, the 1 charger + 1 battery is $19, so you bought four...

Excellent. I have Corel Paint Shop Pro X2 and I haven't really explore its more advanced features. Will check out your suggestion soon. Cheers. That's what a number of people said too. I personally...

I agree, the short supply is frustrating for a lot of users. Luckily for me, my local camera shop was able to get their hands on one for me in just a few days after I ordered it. With two OEM...

I understand purchasing 4 batteries, but why do you also need 4 chargers?

What if I don't own and use PhotoShop? :(

Are you saying the Panny 25mm f/1.4 lens is sharper than the Oly 45mm f/1.8 lens?

Oh my god, more weird, hocus-pocus, ogely-dogely, "the meaning of life" post from Detail Man :PToo deep, man.You should write a book, or even just a blog.

Just read your blog. Is that your wife in the first pic? Looks like she nearly has a nip slip. Better do some cover-up post-processing.

I also got a cheap JJC-version lens hood from eBay for Australian $9. Fits well. Not sure if it helps fend off flare at wide 12mm angle but at least it provides some protection if the lens happen...

I am speaking from Australian street price, OM-D (body-only) over $1000 and G1X over $600.Even if the difference is $200, it is still a major factor to consider.
-
I think this original post is to show that OM-D can take good action shots. It does not say it can equal or best action shots from i.e. Nikon D4 or Canon 1D. I don't know why people start comparing...

Try shooting a cat. Yes, cat. Olympus prefers cats than dogs :P
-
Nope, my silver OM-D comes with a black 12-50mm lens. Personally I think both silver and black lenses look good on a silver body.
-
OM-D is twice the price of G1X, so that's another big factor.

Haha, so true. E-M5 prices on eBay sux.If OP is really so keen to get rid of his E-M5, he should sell for $500 :P
