I have been quite happy with the 28-105 also. I wouldn't mind a 24-85 though for a bit wider angle.
-
I like mine too. :-)
I also use the old 50 1.8D and I also have the 28-105 D which works quite well.

I picked up a used SB-700 for $200 off my local CL. I also have a SB-600 that I bought new a few years back. They are both good units and at times one may need more than one flash.

Good to know they treated you right. I went to the Denver store a few years ago and their prices were so high and the employees at that store seemed arrogant. I never went back and I usually buy...

I have a core i5-2320 (3 ghz) with 8 gb ram and I haven't noticed any difference in speed with LR or CS5 on my D600 files as my D7000 files. Everything seems to run smooth without much if any lag.

I second the vote for Cameta as you still get the Nikon 90 day warranty, but after that Cameta extends it to a full 1 year for free through Nikon. I usually always buy from B&H and Adorama, but...

Sorry to hear about the incident. Try some of the suggestions about rinsing and drying, I know this has worked for some on electronics.

While I agree that the D7000 has had a quirky AF system, I know mine is kinda whack, the D600 is known for great AF accuracy. The D600 is known for dust on the sensor, but I have not heard anyone...

D7000 ISO 1600, but I have gone 3200 in a pinch but IQ degrades even in RAW.D600 ISO 6400

I'm not sure who has it for $1600, but Cameta has the D600 refurbished for $1699 and they are a Nikon authorized dealer and do offer the 1 year warranty included.
-
You can also get a 85 1.8D for less than $ than the G.

Reading that will cure insomnia :)

There is no guarantee that the 7100 won't come with it's own set of issues too.

I have the 1.8D, bought it when it was all I could afford a few years back. Still a great lens and I use it a lot in my D600.

I think it will have to fire to trigger your slave unit.
-
If you can afford it then upgrade.

I bought a D600 refurbished from Cameta about a month ago and while I do get a bit of dust I don't seem to have any oil and there is not any paint flaking. Dust kind of blows about, so not just in...

Nice shots, and it is great to see how well a D600 does. I like mine too.

I agree with Kit, just order the Copper Hill, a cleaning brush and loupe. I also use them to clean my D7000. It truly is easy to do and useful no matter what body you have. I got to say with all...
