On Fujifilm updates X100 firmware to v1.10 news story (108 comments in total)
In reply to:

nugat: When I download the update from the fuji link (what a convoluted method!!)
and then transfer it to SD card, when the card is in the camera the firmware version shows 1.01 !
It's the first update from a month ago and of course the camera doesn't recognize a new update. So no action is taken. (It should be 1.10).
Did they botch up the versions or I'm doing something wrong?

it's odd.
just wonder: did you downloaded also the 1.01 fw months ago ?
are you sure you've downloaded the new 1.1 firmware and saved it in a different path (of previous 1.01 fw) ?

Obvious questions but:
1) do you have a 'fresh' card just formatted by X100 ?
2) do you copy the FPUPFATE.DAT in card (root dir) ?
3) do you turn on camera pressing disp. back button
4) do you click menu ok when FIRMWARE UPGRADE screen appear ?

iPad importing problem is still there.
After importing pics in iPad the card seems to lock the camera ...
The only workaround is to lock the card before inserting it into iPad for importing process, though in that way you cannot delete the pics after importing.
