  • Amazingly we have borrowlens and lensrentals here in the states that offer a decent selection. Lensrentals has the 150-450 and will soon have the 70-200. Thanks for the taking the effort to review ...
  • Too bad that Pentax cannot grab more market share. Do you rent sometimes or do you just get loaners? Regarding DA 17-70 vs 16-85 would you say they are close optically or do you think the 16-85 is ...
  • I have had the DA 17-70 for a few years now with no issues. The nice thing about the lens is that from 17-50 the corners never get soft. I would say that my copy's performance closely matches the ...
  • Recently I was goofing around with DXO and the color profiles. I tried the recent Nikon models and noticed the orange yellow on the darker skin tones although it is a subtle difference to me. I ...
  • Commented on Hands-on with the Pentax K-3 II article

    Probably the jpeg processing.

Oh I think then hi res was off for the samples from those two lenses. Check the listed settings under each photo.

  • Have you ever owned or used a Pentax DSLR ?
  • Except they make their items in Vietnam, Japan and the Philippines.
  • Well as someone else noted the new dfa150-450 has very fast focus. We will have to wait for tests and more feedback from users ,but dpreview and other sites have stated that the lenses maybe ...
  • Thanks Barry. Yeah, the review is fairly glowimg especially regarding sharpness. I think I will wait for other reviews though.
  • Barry, I have the da 17-70 too and I am thinking of possibly replacing it for faster autofocus, 16mm and wr too. Do you think it would it make a good replacement ? I like the sharpness consistency ...
  • Replied in K50 or KS2
The frogman is back! Two features that strongly favor the KS2's for macro shooting is the tilting screen and wifi.
  • Ha, well there is the whole compression thing that is usually desired with portraits, but sure imagination goes a long ways. You can do portraits with a fish eye too for cool and fun effects, but ...
  • Well 40mm seems to be a bit short for portrait.
  • Why do you want to switch? The DA-L 55-300 usually can be found for less than $200 on ebay or used at pentaxforums . The WR version is $300 right now so that is a decent deal. However, it uses the ...
  • Well jpino79 I agree with many of your points re Pentaxes lapses and your experience with your kit lens was unfortunate. Sorry dude. They definately need to step up their QC and as you put it they...
