This looks like my next camera body. I am curious to see how their sensor will stand against Sony 24 mpx though, because otherwise I like Samsung ergonomics much better than Sony. I just hope they will keep uncompressed RAW option, unlike Sony.
Teufel Hunden: I love this capture!
Thanks. I have few more, but this one is somewhat funny. It's like he is saying - get lost you damn papparazzi :-)
Effect of motion was made by zooming the lens during exposure. It is not created in Photoshop.
thejohnnerparty: Very interesting shot. Were you lucky or did you make it?
:-) I made it.
RogerLittle: Stunning, you are there image. Amazing color, detail, DOF.
Thank you for looking and kind words. This combination - NEX 5N and Sigma EX 19/2.8 iare very capable small package.
Rob Sims: Hey, nice effect and works well in this photo. Was this done by rotating the zoom on a long exposure, or done in PP?
Thank you Rob. If you ever try it, be aware that the most difficult part is to zoom enough - not too much and not too little. It might be also good idea to shot someone in the "running" position (Red Hood i.e. :)) or the snail (that can look funny). I also think that while central composition is attractive because of the symetrical character of the motion effect, putting main subject slightly off center, opens new possibilities. Finally, it might be good idea to change the angle. I.e. Shooting apple on the branch from bellow, with a tree above, should result in a falling effect. However, this effect can become borring after a while, so spare it for the really despirate situations :-)Best regards,Viktor
Thanks. It was done with a zoom during long exposure. The weather was so bad, that I was looking for some formal effects to get some fun :-)
SteB: I'd love someone to test the Canon MP-E 65mm f2.8 on this adapter? Whilst more of a niche thing it could be of interest to users of this lens. One of the limitations of this lens on smaller formats is that the minimum magnification of 1:1 is a bit restrictive. It's generally reckoned to provide a better range of magnification on FF. However, something like a NEX6 with this adapter would still be considerably cheaper than a FF camera. AF is irrelevant as this lens doesn't have it.
If none does it meanwhile, I can briefly test it for you over weekend. I also did some initial tests with TS-E 17, that could be found on my blog.
Actually it is not a G but earlier version.
Testing circular blades on Minolta 35 f1.4 G.
bigjay: according to sony usa site the nex 6 does have a touch screen ""The NEX-6 features a perfectly designed control dial, Fn (function) button, and touch screen with touch shutter function lets you focus on the shot instead of the menus."" and again ""Mode control dial and Quick Navi assure quick and intuitive operation comparable to DSLR cameras Control dial, Fn (function) button and touch screen (including touch shutter function) combine to greatly facilitate operation and speed getting the shot.""
So it looks DPR have it wrong or at least their preproduction model had incompelte firmware.
You can put protective glass on a touch screen as well. No problem with my 5n and GGS. Everything still works as it should.
atoz: Excuse me if this sounds harsh, but, if you're taking pictures like the ones posted, you should be using a simple point and shoot camera or your phone. It's like owning a Land Rover Defender 110 and using it to drive to the local 7-11 to pick up a six-pack of light beer.
To me it doesn't sound harsh. Actually you just described my life dream. Except, I would go with lager.
