Started visiting DPR somewhere around the time of the reviews of the Olympus C2000 and C2100 UZ. Signed up in 2011.
I've been pushing pixels around for ages in addition to working as a graphic designer, Illustrator and cartographer.
I received a formal BFA in Graphics (Printmaking) and have worked as a portrait studio photographic lab printer. Doing daily rushes, proofs or hand printing anything from 35mm to 8x10 sheet film.
I took my first digital images with a Sony video camera, the frames uploaded to a Nexus 6400 frame grabber/image processor (RGB) front-ended on an IBM PC, sometime around 1984 while working as a Graphic Designer for video games. I started in video games when Donkey Kong moved from arcade to tabletop.

To paraphrase advice photographer Norman Parkinson gave Vogue Creative Director Grace Coddington, never close your eyes, you might miss something that will inspire you.
