BUON NATALE e FELICE ANNO NUOVO
I bought the Nikon D3200 D5300 D7000 and the 1d series, which I have sold back to B&H...I have no issues...I’m trimming down all my equipment for lighter cameras and lenses.I have both Canon and Nikon equipment since the advent of the digital world, and I have had very little down time with all my equipment, I must just be lucky.
The most expensive camera...Makes you a professional photographer; if you teach photography...tell all your students to buy the most expensive camera’s and at the end of the semester you’ll have very few students. And you won’t be teaching anymore. Pun intended:)-'
A pro with a point and shoot will leave you in the dust.
I opened my first studio in London era 1966, (I guess I’m old) and I’m still working…..On some of my jobs when I get asked what camera is that, I end up talking about something else and when I mention about when I used to shoot 4x5 film for my weddings, they become very interested about learning more, but I’m working and I don’t have the time to talk longer.I think it was a privilege for me to have learned my trade from some of the great photographers…..some still living….some not.Great article ;)-
Being proud of your camera bag and taking the time to show how you feel about the energy with which protects your camera gear. Great bag"…I have the Retro 20 Bag in Pinestone.
The last cameras that I have are the Canon 1D MK IV’s. I bought the Canon T5i/700D for its compatibility to use the group feature for my 5-600 EX-RT Speedlites coupled with the Canon ST-E3-RT transmitter. This little camera just works great for when I want to use the group feature, a lot cheaper than updating to the Canon 1DX, or the Canon 5D MK III although I will probably update at a later date this year depending if Canon releasing anything new.
Just update the new firmware for my D7000, someone told me its turns the camera into the D7100…

You can have the fastest and greatest phone on the market …but I’ve not found one phone carrier that I can honest say the phone reception matches this fancy advanced technology, if that’s; all we care about’ then buy it, but as a phone reception reliability I feel we’ve all been robed.
I have an app that does the same thing! Just kidding!
I mostly shoot high end weddings….on my next wedding in a couple of weeks I’m going to do just that….shoot with my iphone…and see if anybody says anything….most likely they will probably not even notice….as I will blend into the crowd of pauperizes that lingers in today’s wedding photographers.
DPReview Congratulation’s …as you know this is not new, but the numbers will grow and its is going to be quite overwhelming, I remember back in the early 60’s when I opened my first wedding and portrait studio, and just the thought of someone coming in with the same camera as I had (Hasselbad) but in those days there was a professional understanding that we where the official photographer,Now all they have to-do is whip out that little box that is called a phone/camera, and capture the moment at 60 frames a second, and for the wedding /photographer I think is all going to change …and we know that it’s already happening as we speak.(the phone will soon stop rigging)I had a great run for 47years, and I love to watch how thing have changed for the wave of future technology unfolding….lord forbid if something global where to happed and erase what we can’t find.
I have used ACDSee from its; inception, and I think it is one of the best photo organizers out there, I have all of Adobe software, and they all work just as good, but for my work flow I use ACDSee as my default program when uploading and organizing all my photo jobs., and they have been to me’’ a very well respected company ‘and anytime I call them they are always very helpful, just my opinion.

Hi guys….Congratulations on a great idea…would you mind sharing as to what digital camera you have been using? Great colors…… all the best.Mike.
Thoughts: Funny that two biggest DSLR makers' mirrorless camera debut received so many negative comments here.
Canon once was the first company that offered a 'budget' DSLR (EOS 300D) 9 years ago that kicked off the DSLR golden era. Now they are the last major camera maker to enter mirrorless market. Disregarding whether they have got it right or not. The timing does show the over-confidence (or rather arrogance) of the current management.
We must remember that Canon is a very big company, and the camera line is not there biggest selling product’ ........in ratio to their other entire product’s that they make.
