maxnimo: Oh, please, gimme a break. That's a very simple shot to pull off.

The photograph is blue, your reaction is green - with envy and jealousy.

According to the review ... "With this latest edition, Evening eschews including a DVD as he has in the past, instead putting material online, including printable .pdfs and instructional videos. Full access to the site requires a login and password included with purchase".

Does this mean that someone borrowing the book from their local library will not have access to the above material?

Wonderful portrait of a photographic artist - his overlaying a person's important venues & objects creates a 'framed biography' - very unique, very effective.

Agreed - superb combination of composition (scale and curves) and moody exposure.
Bravo!

Hi Robert & thank you. I took this shot from the Jazz Center located on the fourth floor of the Time Warner Building (through glass I might add).

Thank you Robert. As to the voting, I have no problem or issue. Matter of fact I liked the winning entry - very effective use of low key color as opposed to the usual super saturated red, yellow and orange which dominates most entries - including my #24.

Thank you Robert - had no idea I made a decent capture till I got the image on the computer & noticed everyone self-engaged.

I was also fortunate enough to place 11th in this competition with an image titled 'Benchmates'

Thank you. As a current New Yaaawwwker, living on the UWS, I hope someday soon you get back home and do some NYC 'shootin'. Nothin' like the many layers of the Apple.

Thank you for the look & kind words. I use my D700 in the NYC subway all the time - never had a problem with patrons or police. Lens choice is always something 'light' - usually a 35, 50 and/or 85mm prime.

Number 5 in this competition is also mine.

Thanks Bob. The little upside down city in the vino was six image pano - thanks for all those cinerama, wide world posts - they came in handy.
