Have you ever shot videos at f/2, 135mm? I have (tried). Unless you are shooting a statue, it is a disaster.

You lifted the shadows too much. There is banding on some of the images. Those are night shots, there should be plenty of true black.\#2 reveals potential flare problems.

The 5D2 is very protective on the highlights. If there is any strong reflection, the camera will try to protect it by underexposing.

Yeah. I bought my 50D from them a few years ago. They are serious, the only downside is that you cannot get a refund if you want to return it but they will exchange it if there is a problem.

Another option is to wait to see what Canon will do with the 50/1.4 II. I think this is what I will do.

There is an easy solution to that, shoot in portrait mode. :)
