It's the same converter in iPhoto and Aperture. The RAW support lies within OS X rather than in the Aperture and works in many Apps in the computer; QuickView, Preview, Finder, etc. So if you...

Picture nr 4 above: When looking at "original size", I see the Adobe conversion have some artefacts in the foliage. The Aperture converted image does not.

Here is a RAW conversion comparison between Aperture and Adobe RAW (Photoshop). RAW files from DPReview and the cameras are Fuji X-E1 and Canon 5D Mk2.
XE-1 Aperture
XE-1 Adobe Photoshop
Canon...

I miss Aperture in the test. I guess it is still the one raw converter that most (!?) photographers use. (for a living)

I once looked at KR's own pictures and noticed he has a habit of adjusting saturation levels to the max in every image (not to my taste). Of course he thinks everything else is dull...

Both the X100s and the XE-1 are photographers tools and I think no decisions or judgement should be made upon if they fit jeans pockets or not. There are some small and nice cameras around that...

I think the X20 will make a great second camera. Image quality will not be anything like the 5D, but the cam seems to be a gem and I am very tempted myself! But if you want to own just one camera,...

I don't believe there will be any revolutionary new features for the updated versions of the X-PRO1 or X-E1, but just like with the X100s, it will improved in many ways that altogether will make it...

So if precise framing is needed, even at a distance, EVF is better? With all lenses?
-
I think this might have been discussed before (but I've forgotten about the outcome) – the X-Pro1 is a different kind of black to the X-E1. Which paint is better?
-
One for the X-Pro1: If using the OVF most of the time, batteries will last (a lot) longer. One for the X-E1: Diopter adjustment wheel. Very important for some of us.

Or maybe it's the other way around - Apple does not do a good job with Fuji cameras!?

1st turban (to his whife): Dear, I really think we need a new camel. The one we got is just soo slow...2nd turban: Hi Babe, I'll be home early today! Want me to pick up some groceries?
-
That's a very good idea, except that the RAW converter is in OS X rather than in Aperture. It's important that raw support works in all Apps, including Preview, Finder Quickview etc.

Pictures show that Lightroom is not a good RAW converter for X-E1 files... (artefacts)

I can see a big difference, but what are we looking at here?

What I would do when the situation with the light is a bit tricky, is to make alternative exposures. Use the exposure compensation dial or bracketing function: -2/3, -1/3, 0, +1/3, +2/3.Also, when...

Since the X100 use a 35 mm equivalent wide angle lens, you can focus just anywhere since the orchestra is so far away - the depth of field will be large enough to make eveything sharp. You can see...
