I've been experimenting with Orange(85B) and Yellow(K2) filters on the DP2M and it appears that SPP is pretty close to using an external filter.  Here are some results with the Y(K2) filter. Image...

I think it could be very useful but because of the nosier red channel it might be necessary to use some noise reduction when pushing red.

So this only applies to saving Jpeg?  Is that correct?

You and use the arrow keys on your keyboard to fine tune the dot location so that helps, but plus/minus on the sliders would be useful. J

Beautiful example of new mono mode.  I'm very impressed so far.  Noise is very even and you can dig as deep as you want into shadows(at ISO 200 at least).  Must be at least a couple of stops...

My DP2M is clean but I had to return two DP1Ms before I got a clean one - a frustrating experience.  In my opinion there should not be dust on a closed camera.  Sending to Sigma for cleaning is not...

Looks like it's just the lens came apart. You should be able to remove the rest of the lens and test with another. Joe

I'm really looking forward to trying this. Having to use PS to do B&W causes unnecessary noise if you want to apply colour filters.  A native Mono mode with colour filtering should be better that...
