Yep, use a sturdy tripod and also use the 10 second self-timer to trigger the release, it makes a world of difference for landscape shots.

Have you tried removing the battery for at least 15 minutes, then putting it back in an turning on whilst holding down the shutter button (keep it pressed for a minute)? That should do a soft...

Well, I've got the NEX 7 and picked up the GX7 on Tuesday. Lesson here: don't walk into Samy's when they've got a discount & a tax free offer on, and a credit card burning a hole in your...

Answer this question - did you buy the 3N because of it's size?
If so, I think it's a no-brainer to go for the E-mount 50mm, as (generally) E-mount lenses will be smaller than the A-mount + adapter.

Thanks, I've always fancied a good macro and this looks ideal, having had a surf around Flickr at some of the examples there too.

Does the 2.8 version have manual aperture control on the lens?
-
Actually, often these things are the result improved manufacturing processes - integration of two separate chips, reduced size of internal components etc. It gives Sony the opportunity to launch a...

Ironic that Sony hold a significant stake in Olympus.
I feel your pain though, I bought no less than 3 different Nokia phones on the trot, all with significant flaws that required them to be...

Uugh. Bad news.
When you get it back, can you update us on how long the repair took & the quality of service you got from Sony UK?
I've had really good service getting a Sony laptop repaired...

Nothing wrong with technique, I agree. You need to be more aware of the time of day on the landscapes - early morning or evening will make the light less harsh, and will make the world of difference.

I've got both (actually, the missus now uses my C3) & the answer is yes, the 3N is better but not massively so. It's definitely an incremental upgrade as opposed to a step change. The single...

Obvious suggestion perhaps, but I do regularly follow Trey Ratcliff at

I'm not a fan of his HDR style, but he does have a great eye & great tips.

Seconded, great set. In addition to photographic skills, you must have fantastic stealth abilities :)

They look pretty impressive. Are there any extenders for the NEX that allow autofocus to work?
-
Certainly looks large enough if you store the camera lens down (or up). Looks a little wide, but also looks very well padded.
-
Will you be getting one? Have you looked at alternatives? I'm finding it difficult to get legacy macro glass with manual aperture control.
-
I was given this recently:
http://www.jdsports.co.uk/product/fred-perry-shoulder-bag/059624/
It's nicely padded, and takes the NEX7+SEL18200 with room for a smaller lenses or two, at a push. Looks...

That's interesting. I've found the 18-55 is an excellent kit lens (some here would disagree) but the PZ certainly makes for a more pocketable (hence more marketable) camera. Presumably the PZ is...

Turn the camera upside down for 180 flip down :)
