I had a dialogue with Mylio support who seem like good folks.  They have yet to test Pentax PEF files for compatibility but it's on their to-do list.  Only after PEF files work will they test ...

Every Pentax DSLR produced in the past few years can save RAW files in the DNG format yet Mylio claims they don't support a single Pentax DSLR for RAW images.  Do they know what they are doing?
  • @yesman12 -- since you have both cameras can you share your thoughts on 3:2 vs 4:3 aspect ratio?  Thanks.
  • I've never picked up the new Samsung, not even sure I've seen it, but the E-M1 is a much more portable camera than probably any DSLR I've handled.  It's very easy to shoot with even if it doesn't ...
  • Keep in mind we're comparing a prime lens to a zoom here.
  • What do you use for DAM in conjunction with DXO?
  • Not so sure about their comments.  DPR's recent work pretty clearly demonstrates that Sony's lossy compression results in less malleable RAW files, despite how good they are.
  • Did you miss the selectable AA filter?  Pixel shift?
  • I blew through the trial.  Ended about a month and a half ago if not more. Regarding what you wrote about keywords not being global in C1 Pro, does that mean there really isn't anything in C1 Pro ...
  • Abbott, thanks for the excellent summary.  I signed up for the C1 Pro trial a few months ago but got so busy that I never was able to play with it much, especially the DAM features (or lack of).  ...

  • My guess -- your internet provider finally spotted the problem and fixed their DNS.

If you're getting a redirect to msn.com then it sure sounds like a DNS problem as someone mentioned. It's not a fault in your computer but rather the ISP (probably the ISP). Have a look at this ...
  • What you wrote is impossible.  If the camera alters the RAW file (not the metadata but the image itself) then there is no way any software could display the uncorrected image.  Since when I import ...
  • Are you trying to claim that if I turn on lens distortion correction on my camera, Aperture will correct for distortion when loading the RAW file and there's no way to turn this off?
  • Sure, it always saves the lens info in the RAW file.  However, the key text is "when developing the RAW images" which means creating a JPEG file where you have the option to use the correction ...
  • In-camera lens corrections only apply to the JPEG outputs, not the RAW files.
  • Where did I say that?  I'm using Yosemite and it's fine (as I mentioned).
  • I think it comes down to the criticality of your work. Are you running complex software that is quite specialized and may not have been thoroughly tested by the developer under Yosemite? That ...
