  • I'm thinking of picking this lens up for portrait work and I'm wondering what others think who have used it for portraits?  From the reviews the positives are that it's very sharp even at 1.4, less...
  • Neat Amy. What was your time setting between shots? Any battey issues, I'm assuming you turned the viewfinder off?Scott

NIce catch! Like the symmetry in the pose and the overall pic. Great eye! Seems your K5II doesn't leave you? ( 'back from church4...) Take care! While I have shot some youth events at church I had...

Saw this coming home from church today and thought it was pretty funny.  The neighbor's cats  across the street were keeping an eye on things.  Most likely my golden retriever.  :-) Scott

  • What a great series Leopold.  Thanks for sharing. Scott
  • Was that dolphin doing more than 10mph? I'd say 15 plus Dean. Watching them I'd say they were doing 25 plus at times swimming up to and away from the ship. They really can fly in the water.Scott

How about a couple Dolphins in flight for a change of pace. :-)
  • Really nice, Peteo.  On several different levels.  The colors are neat, the lines are nice, the shape is cool and the shot is great.  I think what I like best is sisters doing something special...

  • Great picture, love the contrast of the colors.  No doubt in my opinion the lone tree really makes the picture special.  Great job!  Scott

My daughter saw this somewhere else and wanted to know if her and her sister could try it so we had a little fun at the beach.  Actually they had the hard part as I just put the camera on full auto...
  • Welcome to the group Tom. I think youll finf the 18-135 is a much better lens than it gets credit for. It's on my camera 70% of the time due to its quality and versatility. Scott
  • philzucker wrote: Very nice, thanks for sharing! Maybe you could try a composite - combining all phases of the landing sequence in one pic? Would look stellar, I think! Phil That's a great idea...

Had a lot of fun taking photos of the Pelican's during our vacation in Florida last week.  I shot this landing sequence with my K5II and 18 - 135WR lens.
