It`s been a couple of weeks since I recived my brand new Leica M-E. Instantly I got back to a kind of camera I feel in charge, back to my old lenses, framing, every thing is there, thank you Leica. I love it. Now I need a second body.
Leica M´s are not for any kind of photographer, I have use them all, SLR´s, TLR, point and shot, digital of all kinds, none lets you as a photographer capture an instant as a Leica M does. None. This of course in the case you are aware of what kind of images are you looking for.
Leicas M are NOT suited for long lens, macro or any kind of camera self solve photography.
If you are not aware of the importance of focus, timing and framing, don´t buy a M, it´s not for you.
