  • The G1X is at another level, it is m4/3 territory which made it larger and slower to focus. Between the Nikon 1, RX, and the G, I would preferred the Nikon but I don't need an ILC. The RX seems...

  • Is there a problem with the RX1 R? It has softer corners than an APS format, and at the center, it doesn't resolve any better.

  • @ET2

Good points.Though I still prefer the image quality of the bigger format since I find joy in processing high quality RAW files, the features of the RX100 are quite tempting to have such as...

  • Sigh, Canon is too comfortable with their sales with no upgrade yet with the image sensor. By now, the G series should have been at the level of the Nikon 1 and Rx100, in terms of sensor size.

  • Excellent and now with a hot shoe, but the price killed it for me. The price is too close to a Ricoh GR though Sony still deserves to price it that high.

  • printing at least A4... I'm coming from as a Sigma/Foveon camera user, we consider the detail of Foveon images are approximately equivalent to twice of a Bayer/CFA system.  If we reduce a 16MP...
  • Yes.  I don't see any revolutionary change in technology and current market.   Until on-sensor PDAF doesn't have at least the performance of whats found in a DSLR, Alpha mount cameras will be...
  • that looks hideous...i was expecting a pair of those beside each eye.

  • You must have been looking at jpeg samples. The 5DIII despite being behind Nikon in sensor performance, still is substantially ahead of the m4/3 sensors even at a print size of 8MP.
    What I find...

  • Hmm, not really. It's just the fanboys.

  • It's entirely a different market. The consumers chose to go and pay for a m4/3 that satisfied their needs in terms of performance and image quality, and the size/weight advantages is good value...

  • The E-M5 will be updated soon, having many of the new features of the EM-1 minus the pro specs.
