More expensive than a X1-pro, all for a red dot.

On Sony announces NEX-FS700 '4k-ready' E-mount camcorder article (237 comments in total)

Riprap: When are Sony ever going to learn; just like their stills cameras (NEX) and their camcorders (Z1) it's designed with little consideration for hand holding. Such a shame they can't get the ergonomcs right.

"Who "hand holds" a cinema cam? It's made to go on a rig or tripod of some sort."
Never heard of Peter Jackson I suppose?

On First full-res Fujifilm X-Pro1 images appear on the web article (216 comments in total)

The ISO 6400 image is particularly interesting, compared to something like the Canon EOS 60D. The sample image in the gallery here was shot at f1.2 with the Canon (displaying far more noise, and less sharpness) yet surprisingly (or not) all the commentators gushed over it. What I find disconcerting, is not the camera, or lens, but the vilification that has been dished out to the two photographers, it's like being in a school yard with a gang of 14 year olds. Time to leave this place altogether I feel.

I wonder if you can mix the shooting modes together so that an Underwater Firework mode could be used. It would then be a USP rather than the 18MP's and be as useful!

Mr Fartleberry: You'd think Adobe would try to encourage more licensed seats rather than drive people away, eh Grumpy?

After starting out with PS4 I stopped purchasing anymore at CS3, I recommend Photoline to anyone now, it's compatible, less bloated, and does all of what I need.

jpr2: if only Ricoh took heed of the recent uproars created by built-in VFs of x100 and Nex7 :( !!

Whilst an inbuilt hybrid viewfinder would be a welcome addition, if it made it no bigger than the film GR1s, the size of GDR is great - I use my GDRII with the GV-2, it just slides onto the hotshoe, is still small and is of high quality, although it does not provide an accurate 100% coverage, it is better than the GR1 s one.
