The problem you will have is that the Tamron 10-24 is a lousy lens. It was unsharp with a lot of chromatic aberration on my D300. I can only imagine how horrible it would look on a D7100.

I guess the 18-135 manages to vignette even at f/5.6; not much room in one of those things.

Are you using a filter to block visible light? If you don't use one, any IR will be overwhelmed by visible and you won't get an IR photo.
I would not expect good focusing results from a DSLR...

You can get frame sections and assemble your own:

Aha. I should have looked at that.

I would expect soft focus if you're using the viewfinder (presumably you would focus with the visible-blocking filter removed and then replace it for the exposure) since, as you noted, most lenses...

It's vignetting. The out-of-focus image of the iris is clipped by some other aperture in the lens as you go towards the edge of the field. This is pretty common in high-speed lenses.

That picture isn't very sharp; it's about what I'd get out of a point and shoot. So something's out of whack here.

I can't even get a G12 in a jersey. There's no way to put a DSLR in there. I've put my D300 with a 70-300 in a bag attached to the rear wheel rack on my commuter bike but that's not a real good...

m4/3 cameras are capable of quite impressive quality. Have you looked at pictures? Not blown-up crops, whole pictures? Those should be pretty good. If they're not, you may want to examine your...

You must be joking. This is the first place I go when I need a Luddite. O.P. gonna get a bunch of TLR advice here.

It's not a forum, it's on the menu at the third line from the bottom of the page.
There's a folder on your hard drive that doesn't show up when you hit the "insert image" icon? That would appear...

There is no upgrade for the 55mm f/3.5. It's as good as there is.

Hasn't helped me a bit.
Although it does bring up the possibility that I would be even less creative if I used my right eye...

At minimum focus, the 85 f/1.8 covers 6 1/2 X 4 1/2 on my DX camera; on FX I calculate 10 X 6 1/2. Most other lenses will shoot tighter at minimum focus.

Unless you need the speed for indoor or portrait photography, I'd skip the 35 and 50 and get a 16-85. This would be a much more useful landscape lens to complement your 11-16. I have both primes...

I am unclear about the meaning of the acronym "RTW". It often means "around the world". Is that what you're doing? If that's the case, 5 weeks seems rather rushed. You'll want something small and...

Yes. Both my parents claim to be Italian.

Oh, why spoil the image with reality? There's so much of that happening in our daily lives.
