  • Apart from the remote control ability (via a smartphone), I wonder what else is different between F900EXR and F1000EXR. Appearance wise they both look identical with an update choice of trimmings ...
  • DickyAus, very nice series. I especially like the sparkles on the water in the Calm Morning shot, and the overall composition of the whiteness in the Early morning mist over the lake shot.  Looks ...

Dicky, Very interesting series. It is good that you are enjoying your camera.
  • Here are a couple of crescent moon related shots captured on a F900EXR. (These are straight from the camera.) "Two for the price of one."  While the crescent moon on the right is rather obvious, ...
  • Well timed series, Joms.  And I like the autumn leaves shots the most. Keep on sharing...

I totally agree that details will complete the pictures. Thanks for sharing with us the 2 beautiful examples.  The one with the wave and sun leaves a deeper impression on me. :)
  • Very nice indeed CACreeks. I love how the straight line of the half moon align with the straight lines of the trees.
  • Sorry Bill, I have the F900EXR too but I have not seen the same problem as what you are describing.  Just a quick thought, have you ensure that your PC time zone set correctly?
  • Thanks zincsulfate.
  • Thanks Ralph for the enhancement.  It really brings out the colors even more.  Yeah, I think I am lucky to have got one of the more capable F900EXR available.

Thanks alexisgreat. The photo was taken with M size with Auto DR, and the camera chose to use DR200. And yes, I agree that sometime it is interesting to keep the shadow dark all together, like the ...

Thanks Bruce for the short tuition on enhancing the photos for more details in the shadow. :)
  • Very well said, CAcreeks . Photography is definitely another form of artistic expression. And some of the "effect" gained can be very artistic indeed. I like the original version more because I ...

Thanks Bruce.  I agree that it would be nice if the building details were more defined.  I tried to get that effect with the other metering modes available on the camera; while those can retain ...
  • @ CAcreeks , Actually, it was the 4 points flare that attracted me to this shot.  While I am curious what caused them, their presence does make the shot that tiny bit more "attractive" to me...  :)
  • Thanks Orion for the valuable lesson on how to enhance photos taken on an EXR sensor.  I will keep those in mind when I start to tweak the photos that I have taken.
  • Thanks Orion.  And yes I agree that the enhancement that CAcreeks applied pushed the photo a notch up in overall presentation, and color quality.
  • Thanks CAcreeks , And yes, I did tried the Sunset Mode, but found it very limiting in control, and tend to overshadow colors other than orange, yellow and red. These were straight from the camera ...
  • I was taking an evening walk when I saw a good opportunity to see how the F900EXR would handle sunsets... In Singapore, we get sun setting behind blocks of flats instead of hills or mountains. 2013 ...
  • Nice, this is why I miss that "manual focus" so much, but I still can't see myself carrying a camera bigger than the F900EXR as I do carry it everywhere I go...
