because canon performs poorly when compared against nikon? its not dxomark's fault that canon has been using the same sensor for the last 5 years.

and you would end up with a slower, softer lens, a smaller sensor with worse noise performance and an AA filter to blur the remaining fine detail away. less resolution too. but hey if that makes...

Its like 30cm or something. Macro is much harder on a larger sensor. If that's something that's really important the mx-1 will focus down to the front element practically.

This is a photographer's tool. If you want a camera that thinks its a camcorder buy a GH-3, 7D, 5dmk3, etc and be happy. Without optical stabilization this camera would be a poor choice for video...

this has excellent glass too. this is much, much more compact than a nex with any lens. as soon as you need something other than a pancake the nex becomes unbalanced and awkward. just my opinion of...

If the moire bothers you stop down to f8. After f8 the diffraction from the lens will start to cancel out the gains due to the lack of AA filter and moire will basically disappear. Im on the fence...

I don't care what anyone says. I have a k-5, and the k-5 IIs is pretty enticing to say the least. Better AF, no AA filter. They took an amazing camera and made only improvements on it. Good job. I...

Yabakko: pentax's mirrors arrent as good? You have evidence to support that? All slrs must deal with mirror slap. I find the k-5 to be well dampened.

I've noticed a huge difference in detail on a tripod on even my older k-7. Anything less than 1/200 has the potential for mirror movement and hand shake to rob fine detail. You may have a...

@photobfa: thank you for pointing out that the MF camera still wins even with an older CCD sensor. A lot of people are lost on that. Interesting how it still retains detail over the d800 even at...

I hate to say it to you all but like it or not, we are ramping towards an apex where diffraction will eat any further gains in resolution. Its a simple fact that the airy disks are only so small....

The D800e uses a cancelling filter. I do not know how that works without looking at the patent or something, but the sensor isn't naked still. Id imagine the d7100 is the same. they say it is...

F*** THAT! This company does not have permission to print my work. If they do it will be their lawsuit!

@lars does the lens move in a form of optical stabilization? If that's the case the softness could be due to the lens not moving perfectly with your own shake when taking the picture. It could also...

This review seems to be stacked in fuji's favor, though I realize it may be unintentional. I do read some of these reviews pretty thoroughly and this was one of them. A few things of note. Since...

Ok...I looked at jpegs for a more fair comparison and it looks pretty neck and neck with the k-01 but certainly edging it out on fine details like the feathers. Pretty impressive. I would be happy...
