Thanks!
Anyone know what sort of hummingbird this is?
-
This little hummer just hung out on our lamp post for a couple of days defending a patch of flowers growing under it. We could walk pretty close by and it just sat there on the bar watching us. I...

Granted I know the FZ200 waaaay better than the RX100, but I have more than 1000 shots on the RX100 so am reasonably familiar with it. I DO think the key to these cameras is to fine tune their...

I recently travelled with a borrowed RX100 for 10 days, along with my FZ200 superzoom. The RX did 90% of the work. The LCD is surprisingly great and didn't miss the EVF. Tilt would be useful, as...

None here after a year of use.

Apples and oranges. And potatoes. Possibly acorns. Definitely bright shiny objects all.
I have an FZ200. Really great for what it is. So very flexible, if you're willing to give up a bit on...

Snapsort is one of those empty calories web sites that is just in the way of real content. A complete waste of time to look at it.

I'm mystified by the way the EVF is working on my camera. I was shooting outside in pretty bright overcast and the EVF was almost too dim to use comfortably. Yet, bringing it indoors, it gains up...

But - beware using flash with a lens hood - you'll get a shadow along the bottom of the frame...

Well, thank you for educating me! I guess I would have thought the tilt screen would be more likely to be used in those situations. Food for thought. tx

Why is the flip-up viewfinder useful? I can see it if you're using a short tripod or a cat up a tree - but otherwise? What am I missing?

Those sold out in less than a day on the Groupon offer.

I'm happy to take a run at the RAW file in Lightroom if you like. Let me know how to get the file.

Not surprisingly, the answer is: It depends on the light
If indoor lighting is all you have, then it will probably disappoint you. If the church has a lot of natural light, then you might be OK,...

Thank you for the replies.
Kelvin - I think you answered the specific question regarding the ISO2000. I went hunting and found that indeed the ISO was set for 500, hence 4x being 2000.
And, if I...

Can anyone help me out here? Sorry to bump this post, but I need to figure out how this works. It's driving me a bit nuts!
THANK YOU.

Hi. This is going to be a bit of a dumb question, but I cannot figure out what's happening here.
I have a D600 that I'm shooting in Auto ISO with a max ISO of 5000. When I shoot with the SB-800...

Much speculation is here:

Well, then even more concerning since that appears to be an optical defect and not fully at the edges of the optical and sensor frame? But this is just one image. It'll be interesting to see more.

I'll leave it to the others to comment on the methodology to get these images for comparison, but to my eyes, there is distortion and blurring in the LF1 images around the corners that I don't see...
