After a break, getting back to taking some street photos. Starting with my sights set low.Cheers,Daniel.

...and the world's your mussel :-). Only had one evening in Brussels, a damp and rainy night. Tried to capture the gloom of the occasion.Calling in the rain Taking the (insert censored word) out...

Here's some wild Scotland :-)If you do manage to survive Glasgow and get out into the countryside, you may see some more nicer scenery.

Dear Ihtisham,Here's my very quick interpretation of your very fine image. It's all in the eyes, as you and others have pointed out. Apologies for any impertinence.I used a red filter to lighten up...

Thanks for the comments. I wasn't sure about the last one, shooting from the hip is always a hit and miss process (mostly the latter). I'm trying to live up to Robert Capa's dictum of getting...

A vote for Hugin. Free (as in Speech and Beer) and very powerful once you get to know it. It does have a beginner's mode (but I've never used it).Cheers,Daniel.

Just wanted to say I managed to have a very quick look at the WK+DM exhibition on my last day in London. I think I am drawn more towards Klein's work than Moriyama's, maybe it's because the style...

With the previously posted versions, I made the mistake of editing them on a new large gamut display without having it profiled so the colours and contrast aren't as I actually wanted them to be....

Another "from the hip" shot. Does colour add to the image? I like the contrast between the sunlit face and the blue background in the colour version. I had to play around with the WB to balance...

Greetings from Glasgow, Scotland. I've been lurking on the forum for a few weeks trying to get a feel for the place. Here's my first "official" contribution to the forum (apart from a reply to the...

Each to their own, I say. There's a whole spectrum of street photography, each type can be done well or badly. There are lots of perfectly exposed, focussed, bokeh-filled boring photos, doesn't...

I assume AF performance is secondary (especially if you are going to using adapters). If high ISO performance is also not an issue (tripod use), then the NEX-7 is perhaps preferable to the NEX-6....

Nice sunset photos, I like the textures in the sky in particular. I was there in July and caught this sunset.360 degree pano Cheers,Daniel.

The same general guidelines apply to 360 degree panoramas as for conventional landscape photography, it's about finding the right light to suit the particular scene. Personally, I prefer to take...

This post on petapixel is appropriate in this context. Canadian photographers now automatically own the copyright in the first instance, not the commissioner."Previously, photographers were not...
