My point about your files is that should you decide to switch allegiance in three years (having paid Adobe at least $1800) to Corel X8 say, you will need to keep paying Adobe in order to open YOUR...

And another thing- (rant mode ON) say Adobe goes all M$ on us and decides to ditch the evolved interfaces we have now and go all touch screen b*ll*cks on us, presumably CC wont let you ignore the...

It's ok, they wont loose out either- CC wont be any different to them. Just a query, how do you feel about "ownership" of your photoshop project files?

If you are happy with the idea that in lets say 20 years, even if you have retired, you will need to be paying Adobe to edit the psd files you make tomorrow...

Sorry but OWNERSHIP of a licence is my issue.

Apparently 4-5x the numbers of photoshop sold are pirated, and I suspect that figure was before Bitorrent etc took off, so piracy is a real issue. I dont expect that to change however.
