I had a red Pentax k-x. It was a nice camera for the price range. In the end I jumped ship, not because of the colors. Rather it was the entire Pentax system. It just wasn't the system I wanted. It was harder to find a vibrant community for them (other than pentaxforums, a very nice bunch of folks, btw.) The used market was very small. It was just harder to find stuff for it.
Oh, I don't care about the "it fits all lenses ever created" either. Some do, I know. I do not like or care about manual lenses but I respect those that do. It's not the Gospel. It's photography. Just not the system for me.
My camera was red though. Loud too.
How about some pictures with the lens!!!!
Nice post. I would like to have seen a photo shoot with this gear, though, for inspiration. I see a lot of stuff that says use the 50 1.4 over the 50 1.8, for example. OTOH, I've seen DigitalRev give a pro a Lego camera and take great shots.
I am glad I sold my Pentax and didn't fully invest in their system.
