So glad a major reviewer finally discussed the lack of face detection in Fuji's "advanced" cameras. I hope Fuji will implement face detection via firmware upgrade in its "advanced" cameras, and/or in its upcoming cameras.

Most photos seem to lack detail even at low ISO. They look really soft too, almost as if it was off focus.

Impressive camera! Might have to buy my first Nikon DSLR. I wonder why Nikon kept the ISO button on the left side. Looks like a winner though.

Is the Tamrom an internal zoom? That'd make it a more attractive proposition over the Oly and Pany counterparts.

How many slow "normal" zooms do we need for m4/3? This is about 4 from Pany and about 4 from Oly now? Sigh ...

Oh mine ... Just when I thought the V1 was ugly, because it looked like a Tetris block ... And I though that the K01 was ugly too. The V2 is hands down the ugliest camera in the world!!

goodbokeh: Yes, there is face detection and recognition, reference the E-Fn button control, lower right quadrant, on page 5.

Thanks mate!

armanius: No face detection AF?

That's what I'm wondering. The specs don't mention face detection on the XF. There's face detection on the X10, although it's a bit quirky. There's no face detection on the X100 or the XPro1. The specs also don't mention face detection on the XE1. So I'm not sure where Fuji is going with face detection. It certainly makes off center portrait focus composition easier -- especially when handing the camera over to a less inexperienced photographer.

What an impressive amount of whining just because the K01 didn't get a "real" DPR review and got a bad score. Yes, it must have been a big conspiracy due to the Canon-Nikon bias. Never mind that the K5 got more love than its Canikon counterparts. Just can't make everybody happy.

So ... did it resolve the performance issues? Even with my top of the line iMac, there was a lag using the edit tools. Using sharpening or NR made things even slower.
