ISO 6400 and higher, is exremely high (especially in night shots) for most cameras, yielding almost unacceptable IQ. More realistic and sufficient, I 'd suggest, is ISO 3200-4000 or more.

I was sure there was a story and deep love, by looking at this photo and voted for it my highest vote! It speaks by itself! Reading the story, I also see, you are also a brave and kind man. Congratulations.

Indeed! Her hands is the most important (and also touching) part on this photo!

thanasaki: A very good high key photo with an artistic value. IMO it deserved a much better place in this challenge.

please accept my sympathy. At least, this photo is a good memory of her lovely eyes and a passport to heavens.

Beautiful photo ! Pity that "birds" and "flowers' are the only favorites in this challenge series

At last, something seems to go on again on changes in challenges and in the fora. PLEASE, do something on the challenges voting system, by elliminating the negative voting (sandbaggers, cheaters and insane people) Personally, I 'd suggest a "photographic" voting system on challenges, based on "points" collection, nammely:
half star + 1 point
one star + 1.4 points
one _ half star + 2 points
two stars +2.8 pionts
three stars +5.6 points
four stars + 11 points
and finally
five stars +22 points

cheers

In reply to:

Steve Throndson: There were some excellent portraits in the challenge. This one stood out because it reminded me of Paul Strand's 'Young Boy, Gondeville, France' circa 1953. The same direct expression - although not as intense.
Good work!

Very often we do like the same photos, dear Steve. I think, its a matter of a good taste. Cheers!
